serious issues with my 2002 bose radio

i have nothing but problems with it. it won't play a cd smoothly until i let it skip for about 10 minutes. only some of the 6 cd slots will play a cd through out without restarting the songs at midpoint. then to make matters worse i turned it on yesterday and the lights blew out on it. i have no display. i dont think that bose speakers are compatible with just anything are they? how much am i looking to spend for either a replacement bose or a whole new system? mind if you do take the whole new system option i want to go big with it. someone fill me in. it will be much appreciaed. thanks in advance.

you can wire up an aftermarket h/u to the existing wiring harness no prob. The speakers will play. You can also get a PAC adapter for the steering wheel controls and keep using them.

i had the same problem. so i figured its a good time to start building my system. i ordered the Alpine CDA-9835 with the adapter and steering wheel controls. i'll let you know how it is next weekend.
