5th gen Componet Tweeters/Setup

If I get a componet system will the tweeters from that fit in where the tweeters are up top on the sides of the windshields? I don't see how I would be able to get them out, but I am new to the audio installation scene so if you know how please let me know... thanks!

Also... I was looking at the Alpine's type R I believe, but they only have them in the 51/4 from what I saw and my roomate says get 51/4 up front and 61/2 in the back. I wanted to go 61/2 all around with componets only in the front if it could be done. Anyone know what a good setup for my 00 max would be?

If you have non-bose, they are 6.5" all around. Also, the tweeters will fit fine. I have some detailed pics on my site if you want to be sure.

Here's my OEM's that came out of my car.

they are non-bose. So it is just a good idea to get componets up front because mounting the tweeters in the back we would be some work correct? Any recomendations on the componets? What's everyone else running?

In my opinion (and it's just that) a nice set of coaxials are more than enough for rear fill. I'd say the extra cost & installation process far outweigh a little more sound that, as the driver, you won't really hear anyways.

There's really not a simple answer to that question. It comes down to your budget and all. Contact Don aka Pearl96Max and he can give you some ideas. I went with all JL Audio in my car.

Good luck.

I had the bose system but I installed my tweeters in the door panel instead of the a pillars. I then bought GXE a pillars without the tweeter grill to replace my stock pillars so its real clean and doesn't look like I have 4 tweeters. My rears are coaxials and they sound great. Im running MB Quart Premium series components up front and MB Quart Reference series coaxials in back.

MB Quart is at the top of my list bar none, but they are pricey, I have polk mids, and fosquate tweets. Well, the tweets are on the way, I installed the mids yesterday, should get my tweets this weekend and then I'll install my head unit, sub, and tweets then. wooohooo..... Don't know who's idea it was to install such cheap clarion speakers, but that was a bad mistake. anyway, if you can go MB Quart, its worth it.
