AV inputs in headunit

Hey all,

My Headunit does not have Audio INPUTS. It only has Audio outputs for front and rear. I have the Pioneer deh-P4600MP.

How do I connect my microvision dvd player audio RCA's to the headunit?

Is there anyway to get connect the DVD player to the speakers while retaining function of the headunit?

Do I need a new receiver that has Audio INPUTS? If so can you guys name some that have decently clean audio output that won't break the bank but is XM or Sirius ready and possibly has MP3 playback (not totally necessary since the DVD player plays MP3's? I don't need it to be blasting my ear drums but I do like it somewhat loud (comfortably loud at highway speeds).

Lastly, am I missing something? CAN you connect the microvision dvd audio RCA's to my specific headunit?

EDIT: what do you all think of these models?
1)Kenwood EZ-500
2)Panasonic MXE CQ-C8401U
3)Panasonic CQ-C9700U

thanks!

If the above seems silly how about these products?

DVH-P500MP or the DVH-p7000 by pioneer? Apparently they play MP3's as well as DVD's...

Kpazzo, I think you have the DVH-p500mp before you got the AVIC right? IF so, were you able to play dvd's or any other video source WHILE driving? I am fearing that they put a "safety" feature disabling the video while driving...

EDIT: it appears the DVH- P500mp does NOT play mp3's...grrr. Correct me if I'm wrong please!

ANY insight would GREATLY be appreciated AV wizards!

so doing some of my own research

will this work?
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-tro5Hrl...fo&i=130CDRB10

edit: I talked to Crutchfield and they said it will work.

It basically uses the changer input to turn it into an RCA input. There is also the upgraded one which allows you to keep control of the changer for 20 bucks more. I stuck with the first because i have never used a changer and don't plan on it!
