Headlights Dim with Bass (I know...Noob)

Any help to solve this would be appreciated...I am sure this has been addressed however I haven't been on the .org for a while and cannot search, and have no clue about car audio.

Do I need a new battery (i.e. better/stronger)?

Is it b/c of my setup: stock HU, KAC-929 amp, 2 10" subs?

What is the danger/negatives other then dimming lights if not rectified?

Again thanks for any help, it is much appreciated,

Jordan

they will tell you to upgrade the ground to the altenator and around the engine bay. look for a write up on ground kit. you can get a capacitor for your system also. check ebay, type 1 farad.

don't waste your money on a cap spend the money on a good deep cycle battery, what is the current draw from your amp?

1) Get a good battery, not a Die Hard piece of poop. A deep cycle battery is nice but not made to handle more than a trickle charge, not a good battery for starting applications.
2) Run a decent power and ground wire off of the amp.
3) Somewhere in the org is a thread on "the big 3", look for it.
4) Depending on how much power you're running, a capacitor will help.
If you're constantly dropping voltage and the lights are dimming, then your other components that run on 12V are also getting starved for Voltage. The more consistant your Voltage is, the more efficient the electrical components will be (ie:amps, etc)
5) Upgrade your ground wire to the battery to the same gauge wire you have going to the amp on the positive side...
