Can you take pics off what your switches look like installed?

I don't get the same glare that you were talking about. Maybe it was at a different angle than mine?
Glad I could help. Here is a pic of the switch I was referring to before. It has been placed next to a D2S bulb for perspective. IMHO, it looks alot cleaner than the ones that you can find at the local auto stores but to each his own.

looks good...

i have the exact same set up in my car. but my HU only has one video input. the AUX is only audio. Are you using a video switcher of any sort? I have my camera installed in my keyhole and everything is wired up. only thing that's stopping me from using it is the lack of a video switcher.

did u get the same camera as this one?

I will be installing my camera and TV setup probably this weekend. I have the Microvision 5.6 screen but I also have a 4" screen I got from a guy of Ebay that I'm going to have mounted into the dash and mount the 5.6 in the headrest for my little boy to watch movies and stuff. I got the same camera as Rowan from ManualMaxima's GD. I'll post pics when it's done. BTW Rowan, nice and clean job. Looks very impressive and you did a very professional job on it.

Is that switch of same dimensions as heated seats switch. It looks very neat. Where it can be purchased?

Iron Scimitar, yep, I am using a video switcher that I got at radioshack for 13 bucks or something. It works great and I have it mounted right by the right corner of the drivers seat with the wires going into the shifter space area. You can only really see the switcher, not the wires so it's clean and only I know where it is, none of the passengers can see it . As for the camera, it looks very similar to your but I have no idea what connecting cables your camera came with. Mine were two female RCA looking cables. One yellow for video, one red for power.

durtty1 good luck with the install. Let me know if my write up can be improved in anyway by your experience!

I just drove a total of 3 hours to go skiing up at Gore Mountain. My fiancee watched "The Saint" coming up and part of "When harry met Sally" on the way down. She LOVED it and she HATES long road trips so for me it made the whole project worth it! Oh yeah, I am quickly learning how to use the rearview camera for parking without looking in my mirror lol! Love the precision! I never worry about hitting a car, pole, or anything behind me anymore!

Sagamax, I got the CF (which is actually bluish) from Ange's (previous owner of Redline Max) crashed car.

Meanbean, I do like your switches. They look hot! Do you have pics of them installed day/night? For now I will stick with mine since I really like them but if I ever get bored with them maybe I'll redo them with yours .

EDIT: I haven't had time today to take pics of the rear view camera mounted inside the trunk but I'll try to take them tomorrow! Sorry.

Also, I forgot to mention, the infrared remote eye that comes with the DVD player is mounted between the fins of the center fan ducts so I can use the remote control without the glovebox being open! Works well and is virtually hidden so it's cleaner!

I fabricated a switch plate using plastic and then painted it. The plate is held in place using epoxy. It's very easy and you just have to use the dimensions of the switch you are using and the space the plate will be placed. You can make a template out of poster board first for testing the fitment and then use it to trace on the plastic or other material of your choice.
