new system conflict with stock bose

i called around just now and theyre saying that i might need to have a huge re-wiring job done because the stock set up goes through the Bose amp...he said i would new speakers too. something about the Ohms bieng too low and if i where to use them they would be almost inaudible. i have a Clarion deck, all the wire, the mounting bracket, big amp, big box with 2/12's....
has anybody had this problem with their systems?? what did you end up doing?
btw i have a 99 se and also all stock audio set up, i dont even know if i realy do in fact have a Bose amp or anything...im clueless

I just installed my two RF 12's with an amp throught the stock bose system.

It sounds real good, I don't know why you shouldn't be able to intall them.

stock speakers are usually 2ohms, aftermarkets are 4ohms...they might not be as loud is i think what they are trying to say.

the bose setup:

hu -> bose amp -> speakers

If you have an aftermarket hu, you dont cannot run it through the amp and connecting directly to the 2ohm speakers will kill the hu. Either rewire, or look for a pac adapter. Forgot what it is called, its in the sticky.
