And 2k3max- He's ripping you off on the adapter. It should be no more than $100 retail, which is a ripoff already. I know, I have it.

As far as FM modulators, the sound quality just isn't there...trust me, I had that set up first and when I switched to the Soundgate box that used the CD changer port, the bass and clearity came back.

Here's a question...I have a Rio Carbon (connected to the stock Bose HU with a cassette adaptor), and when it changes tracks, it causes the cassette player to start rewinding, muting my sound. Any of you using Ipods have this problem, or is it a Rio-specific issue? Thanks.

I tried the iTrip fm transmitter and it was awful. I'm taking it back to the store.
I just got my Alpine iPod interface installed the other day. The interface isn't as great as an iPod, but it is decent. I have seen a lot of people complaining about how confusing it is, but if you read the manual and take some time to learn how to use it, it works great. It's really nice to leave my ipod in my armrest while i'm driving.

I got an iTrip, too, and am disapointed by it's performance. I suggest getting some kind of hard-wire from your iPod to your stereo to get the best sound quality. Crutchfield has an adapter to work the iPod with the stock Bose stereo (in my 2K1), and most after-market mfgr's are doing an iPod controller, too. Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc all have one now.
