Help With Amp

I have the stock non bose headunit, I dont wanna replace it cause i like the clean look. I have nice JBL speakers. I was wondering if i can add an amp to my stock unit, how hard it would be, I need a 4 channel one right...any recommendations and any place that does installations (unless someone wants to help me). How much would it cost to get this done at a shop. Ill prolly pick up a used amp and an amp kit on ebay. Thanks guys.

all you have to do is pick up a hi/low adapter from an audio shop, cost $15.. get some power wire and ground kit that comes with a fuse, also some RCA's, a simple 12 gauge wire for the remote from the HU to the amp and thats it...

****(note all this comes as a kit if you buy it like that, you can also get it loose)(hi/low is not in the kit, buy it seperate)

I won't go into detail, you should know what to do next....

Actually youll need two high/low converters to run a 4 channel, unless you want to use Y-adapters off the high/low which is even worse than a high/low to begin with. Circuit City charges 71 to install a 4 channel amp, and 36/pair for speakers, just to give you a ballpark range.

What year is your max? Aftermarket radios look very clean. Trust me, save your money on the high/low converters and get yourself an aftermarket radio, and if you have to, use that to power the speakers for now if you dont have too much money. Your sound quality will still increase tenfold.

2 da max its still here, no good offers yet

bondy go into the U.S. forum, then go to your regional forum, read the sticky at the top of your regional forum, im sure someone somewhat local posted up offering to help org'ers with audio.

to both 2 da max and bondy....bondy youll still need 2 high low adapters to run a 4 channel like I said, so your better off doing this behind the deck not at the rear speakers as 2 da max said. This way you dont have to bridge the high/low converter and you can keep all your balance and fade options working correctly.
