i have the basslink hooked up threw rca jacks and auto turn on off. question when the car is turned on the light comes on without the stereo being turned on. why is this normal? the remote turn on wire runs off the ignition accessory wire.

 

well, once it senses something through the remote turn on wire, it'll turn on. since you tap it into the ignition, it'll turn on when you have the car on.

 

is this ok? should i wire it differently?

 

its fine, you just wired it so it turns on when the car is on... if you would've spiced it to the HU remote, it would turn on when the HU is on..
