Stereo Help!

I recently talked to my audio guy about my set up in my Smoked '05. I'm adding an Alpine monitor and DVD player, amp for the highs, and an amp for my Type-R's. That's settled but I need some sound from the back. I have the non-Bose system but the 6x9's are just bass. There are no highs coming from the back of the car. I like my mid range and highs loud so here's my question. Would it be cool to replace just the tweeters in the front and swap in some Type-R 6x9's in the rear deck and amp everything??

Since you have the non Bose system you should be able to do anything with the system you want without any hassle. I know this becuase i work at Circuit City and i used to do installations. You can replace the tweeters and leave the front factory speakers in tact and install 6x9's in the rear deck, but then youll get uneven midrange. Obvously you will be the driver of the car and obviously you sit in the front all your mmidrange will be coming from the rear and not all the way around. IMO i say swap out all speakers, get the Type R components for the front and the 6x9's for the rear and amp them up and your set. You wont regret it. GOod Luck

I had a horrrrible experience with circuit city last week.. For some reason I was going to let them install my deck and when I came in about 1/4 of the way thorugh the install I noticed they had cracked the bezel that goes arround the shifter, scratched the hell out of my radio bezel, and got my seats dirty as hell.. I went balistic.. I almost killed the fu#ker.. But they are buying me new bezels and me and my cuz are finishing the install this weekend...

I have done almost all of the stereo installations in my car. One time I paid someone else to do it, it was at Circuit City years ago, and that was the last time. I had to rewire stuff and go back for the correct cables that I paid for, they gave me some no name brand ones.

^^ Damn sry about you guys' bad experiences...if you dont mind me asking where were these stores located? Both the stores Ive worked at (and currently work at) if I purposely give people the wrong **** ill get my **** chewed out. Janderson theres no excuse for what they did to ur car, accidents happen and everybody breaks stuff but they shouldnt have scratched it and made a mess. I hope theyre good about replacing it.

I had my experience here in San Diego, at the CC in near the Sports Arena. I know that it is not a reflection of all the CC stores, but that incident was enough for me to keep doing my own installs.

This may change as I now know of a couple of quality shops here in town, and I am getting a little older .
