With two-way pager, 791xv
Without two-way pager, 560xv

Viper/Clifford/Python are all the same, but Viper is the most common hence why they can be found online cheap and such
(insert comment by orgers about warranty but he already knows about this from the other thread)

Why not just get it from him? Or at his store? A lifetime warranty is a horrible thing to waste

i have the viper 791. it works great, 1/4 mile range on the two way remote, remote start. you could probably get it for under $300 online, but it you want to take advantage of the lifetime warranty, you need to buy it and have installed by an authorized dealer. the remote only has a one year warranty though

Are u sure all of them are rca's? 1 of them might be a plug that a power adapter plugs into.

Good thread hijack 2 da max.

CC doesnt carry Viper so I cant get that, we will be carrying Python in about 2 weeks, so if you want the 881xp (791xv equivalent) or another Python, stop by your local CC...but if you dont have CC install it I doubt theyll give you warranty on it, so then I couldnt install it unless I was at work. One of the guys at my store used to work at one of the orlando stores, so I can ask him who would do the best job on this install if you decide to go that route. Im not sure about pricing on our Python stuff yet, I wont know til we get it in stock in about 2 weeks.

You should know better than that Don ..... I should have made myself more clear. I plan on going with either the Viper 791X or the Clifford version, the Matrix 3.5 I believe it is .

probably going to go with a CodeAlarm CA630. fraction of the cost of any DEI product, solid unit, and my boss has been installing them for 20+ years now with 0 problems. Its non two-way, but i dont care, i just want the alarm/remote start. plus you dont need to add any relays, everything is built in to the unit

gotta get it done soon though, they're slowly being bought out by Audiovox.- YUCK!

I'm the odd ball out of the group. I went with the AstroFlex AstroStart 5204. Probably around $500-550ish. You pay a lot, you get a lot for as long as you own your car.

Link: http://www.astroflex.com/index.php?m...&id=22&page=22

Reasons:
Say what you will (I'm not from Fargo) but Fargo hits some crazy *** temperatures and its nice knowing that all of our major dealerships use AstroStarts on all of there vehicles. The top model like the one I own does have an alarm as well. May not be the best in terms of alarm features, but with add-ons etc, I clearly love it. 2 Way feedback, hit a button and your A/C is set to 60 degress, remote start, valet mode, car finder, 2 remote, leather case for the LCD screen remote, auto start at certan temperatures (say below 0) etc. And it uses a AAA battery!

Just my .02
