Anyone running a single JL 12w3v2 in a ported box?

I am just about ready to get one of these, along with a slot ported enclosure. I've heard nothing but good things abouth this speaker in particular. Sorry, I'm not ready for a 12w6 or a 12w7. But any experiences? How many watts rms should I throw at it? Any info is appreciated Thanks

do you have sound deadening in your trunk? How does it sound with 250 RMS?

There are a few rattles, I have no deadening stuff. I just crank the shiet loud enough NOT to hear the rattles. Plus I listen to hard rock, where there is rarely anytime when just the sub is playing.

Would highly recommend JL Subs. Haven't actually owned a W3, but know many guys that run W6. JL's r very deep subs in the right box, and have very good SQ.

I'm running 2 JL 12w3's right now. Love them. Had them for about 4 years now. Excellent product.
