I bought a set of image dynamics idq5 mids the other day at a pawn shop. They were brand new and never installed before. We took them out of the box to make sure they worked and they did. After i installed them , they were fine but after a day and a half, i think i blew one.It seems the voice coil is fried. I have no warranty but is there anything i can do? Will image dynamics give me a new one or do you think they can work a deal out with me?They were sounding good and i was giving them about 70 watts of clean power. There was no distortion, it just stopped working all of the sudden. It seems when the speaker is in a certain position it will not play anything, but when you push or just barely touch the cone it will start to play fine.

 

um...not that i do this or anything but....

find an i.d. retailer ,bs with him for a lil bit, tell him the story see if he'll forge you a reciet...see if he'll ship it back for you or anything ...if nothing else, if its worth to repair rather then replace ya cant get around it ...
