Bose Headunit ?

I need help! I have a problem w/ my bose stereo. When I use the cd changer my left channel, both front & rear goes out. When I'm listening to the radio it's fine. I did add an Infinity Basslink and a auxillary out converter to the Bose system last rear. I really don't think that would be it seeing that this problem just started happening at the beginning of winter. Anyways, if anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks!

BTW, as far as I know I don't have any loose connections. Also, could it be a case of bad RCA's?

I would say the RCA's would be the first thing I would check. Reverse them and see if if makes the dead side change.

Just tried reversing the RCA's, left side still right side is clear as a bell. I did notice that when I first tried the cd player today before I started screwing w/ the wires that both sides were very low & distorted, like there isn't enough signal going to them. Once I started fiddling w/ the RCA's my right side came on clear but my right side was the same. Meaning very low, raspy & distorted.

I don't know! I'm confused.

if you were getting static, and or a bad signal before you started moving the wires around they could be shorting outsomewhere or getting interferance from something behind the dash.

What should I look for and what could cause interference? If it was getting shorted out or getting interference would'nt it be an intermitting problem? When it first started happening it did do it intermittingly but now it is constant, every time I put the cd on left channel is out. To be more precise, rating the signal to the speakers in % would be estimated somewhere around 5%.

The cause of your problem is the ribbon cable inside the cd changer itself. Hopefully you still have warranty on the radio, or that your dealer is in a good mood.

Yes, get that HU replaced. It's a HU problem not the speakers or wiring. I've changed my HU to aftermarket and no problems now. I think this would be the best route.
