Is cd changer thing of the past??
I notice that more and more audio stores are not carrying the cd changers in-stock anymore. Is this due to the new technoloogy like IPOD adapter and dvd/mp3 players? It does make sense that why play regular plain cd in a changer when you can use the same $$ to buy the other newer and more compact technology. What you do guys think? I am looking for some good suggestion for the pioneer nav/dvd units. Is the XM radio or IPOD a better investment?
I am still thinking about getting an 8 disc Eclipse cd changer. I mainly listen to regular CD's. I sometimes listen to MP3's, but this is more when I take long trips (I do want to change cd's while I'm going 70).
I plan on using the digital output on it to have the cd player take care of the digital to analog conversion with the 24bit DAC's.

I still prefer changers. I have yet to own an MP3 player. Despite the fact that satellite radio is free for me, I still choose not to have it.
But Im also the same person that would choose an Eclipse DVD/Navi over the Pioneer that your considering...
