alpine HU but not very loud

Ok so i ordered and installed the Alpine 9830 HU (and i used there scosche Bose adapter) But now that its all hooked up it really doesnt seem to get that loud, actually its alot quieter than my stock bose? I havent adjusted the gain on the scosche adapter but other than that it should be all perfectly wired? any ideas..

Thanks

I remember when I replaced my stock Bock HU for my Alpine HU I did it with out the convertor.. I just wired it straight to the speakers and I noticed no problems with the volume being lower, but it didn't sound clear.. So I replaced the speakers with components and got the sound I want.. Sorry i coulnd't help.

turn the gain up on the adapter and that should solve your problem

the 9830 has alot of features that will help improve the sound, take your manual for your unit out to your car and start on page one and tweak each one. Thats what I did and now I'm just fine tuning it. good luck
