Hey simple grounding question for aftermarket cd changer.
Hey all, I was wondering, what is the best way to ground my cd changer? As most of you know, the FM modulated cd changers, only come with three power wires, the 12v constant, the REM, and the ground. Each of these are probably 18 gauge wires. Inorder to ground, you must get it to a piece of metal in the radio area, but this causes horrible grounding. I get the worst alternator whine, so what do all you professionals do to ground a cd changer for best possible performance.
This is for a 2000 Max SE.

my cd changer doesn't have the fm modulator option so it just grounds itself to the head unit. You need to find a ground point near the location of the cd changer. If its in the trunk I found the strut bolts to be a good ground but I have 97 max.
