Need to make Amp Decisions...

to give you an idea of my current system, right now I'm running a Panasonic CQ-HX2083U touchscreen headunit. The headunit is 60w x 4 and I am running MB Quart Reference components up front and MB Quart Discus 6.5"s in the back. I have a pair of Eclipse Aluminum 12" subs as well. Right now the cabin speakers are running from the deck and the subs are powered by a 2 channel Premier 380w amp. The Amp is not enough power for the subs so I was thinking of powering the fronts with it, but I'm thinking that will not be a good idea to power the fronts and not the rears. I am looking at Eclipse amps, and JL amps at the moment, but I dont want to spend $500 on an amp. I would consider some of the lower priced JLs, but I guess my concern is what to do with the Premier amp that I have. Should I keep it and run something with it, or get rid of it and get 2 amps? Am I supposed to look at 4 channels or 2 channels? and lastly, I want to keep the system somewhat consistent by brand but if there is an incredibly sounding well priced amp out there I will consider it also... Any help guys?

Thanks!
Clark

Theres nothing wrong with using an amp to power your front speakers but not the rears, since the rears are just for a little bit of rear fill..as for brands..well..I like Profile California series amps for driving normal speakers, as for the subs, somone else might have a better idea of what will give you desireable power at a lower price..I like kicker amps for subs, but one with some power will be pricey

What happened Clark? Did that last meet you went to make you want to upgrade?

Power your rear speakers off the headunit.

Actually good thing you replied dude...I remember now that I wanted to Bi-amplify my fronts! so the fronts alone would need a 4 channel amp...
