I ordered my subs and amp!
Hey guys,
After some extensive discussions with Don, and figuring out what's works for me, I finally placed the order.
I'm getting (2) ARC Audio ARC Series 10D2 subs and a KAR 1000.2T amp.
These will most likely be going into a smaller sealed box. It will be my first attempt at building one, so we'll see how that works out.
Can't wait for the end of next week!

Thanks once again to Don (the master) for his help.

Not quite sure about all the details yet, but when I get home next week, I'll be measuring and figuring things out.

I'm not that happy with it, actually. I lost about 4" of height in the trunk. But it is a convenient way to hide the amps, etc. So, if the height loss isn't a problem, you may want to give it a shot.
It's basically just plywood, something like 1" x 3" beams, and drywall screws. IIRC, the bottom sheet of plywood is 1/2" and the top sheet is 3/4". Use the trunk carpet as a template for both sheets. You'll then have to trim a little a bit here and there until the wood fits properly. Make sure you can get it all in and out of the trunk, too. (It's a tight fit.)
Check out WildmanAL and studman's pages, they have some nice trunk setups like this. (Nicer than mine.)

Wow that is sweet, Im lookin to do something like that but I want to put a plexiglass window for my amp, Im not sure ill go 4" high but when you say use the carpet for a template I was just wondering how the fitment is along the sides when it is raised. I was afraid that with the height increasment it would make the dimensions a lil different and it wouldnt fit perfectly along the sides if using the carpet as a guide. Anyway thanks for the pix that really gives me a better idea of how the setup works. (now I just need to figure out how to find pictures of the peoples setups u mentioned, Im kinda new to posting on org, lol)

Studman did the plexiglass thing, and it came out really well.
