Im going to be installing a Microscreen monitor into my dash and I was wondering what a good DVD head unit would be.

I found these two:

That what crutchfield says is compatable. I havent heard much about JVC but i know alpine is good. What do you all have you yours? Could you all tell what you are using, a rating and some comments about it. or suggest a head unit.

Pioneer DVH-P5000MP. I would have to hang myself if I ever put anything Sony in my car, ever.

 

I have Pioneer DVH-P7000. I love it. The only thing it doesn't have is MP3 capability but the screen with dolphins kills DVH-P5000MP instently. Its the only dvd player that looks somewhat new. All others look like $100 head units.
Either way, both of them are good. You would just have to choose between mp3 capability or screen.

 

well i need something that will support the microvision monitor. I found that JVC and it got good review but it didnt look to snazzy at Circuit City. I want something with some cool features.

 

Thats a little drastic don'tcha think? Damb give the 2005 product a try. It looks good.

 

If that JVC is anything like the KD-AVX1 I bought and sent back then it won't remember the place you're at in the middle of playing a MP3 when you turn the HU off. Doesn't sound like much, but it gets frustrating having to restart the song everytime you turn the thing back on.

I just got the JVC KD-DV5100, ordered it from Overstock.com. I plan to install it tomorrow, l'll let you know how I like it. It shouldn't be to bad considering I got it for 231 shipped.
