viper alarm acting gay...

I hav a viper alarm im not sure of the model but its a alarm+ remote starter. The problem im having is sometimes when i press the lock/arm button the doors dont lock. And i can open the door with out the alarm going off. ANy ideas on what it could be ?

I would take it back to the shop that installed it. Sounds like a bad connection on both the doorlock wires as well as the door trigger. It could be in Valet, but the doors would still lock.
