Changing wire, should I?

I just put in a new pair of Polk DB675 2-ways. Should I change my rear speaker wires ? I was thinking about running 16 gauge because the factory wire looks pretty thin. Would that make a noticeable difference?

If you really want to replace the wire, go ahead. It is your money. Will it make a difference?...Yes, but it might be too small to notice. Go for it.

i would do it...if you ever plan on amping them you will be ready to go with 16 gauge.

Factory is 20GA, might even be smaller. You would def. profit from stepping up the wire size. I am going 12GA, but that's just my $0.02...

speaker or power wire? if the power wire is 8 gauge, it's a little too small for that amp. upgrade to a thicker 4 gauge.

if that wire is for your speakers, it's overkill for the most part.
