stereo signal

stereo signal

this may have been discussed. i want to run 2 amps in my car.(2001 gxe). 1 for the sub and one for the mids and highs. i already have the sub in. can i split the signal from the head unit to the other amp, and input the mids and highs into said amp? any help is appreciated.

The H/U puts out a "full range" signal. Your amps crossover setting will dictate what is sent to its corresponding driver. So yes, you can split the RCA with a splitter and you will be fine.

do u have a set of RCA's ran, if so u can use Y cables...u will lose the adjusting features, and more than likly quality? or are you using a high low out convertor? and also id guess that you hav no rca output on the bass amp?....but if your HU isnt stock and mostl ikly u have another set of RCAs on it...id consider running a new set...maximas are all snaps and its a peice of cake too run wires...

i have a clarion md head unit. i already have the rca ran to a sony xplode amp. it's a thousand watt pushing an infinty 12" perfect sub. im gonna use a 400 watt amp to run my infinty components.
