Valentine One in 5th gen

anyone have a Valentine One radar detector (with concealed display) in their 5th Gen maxima, or simply own one in general? I was going to purchase one tomorrow, but it's a hell of an investment ($$$) and was wondering what others thought and was hoping others could show pics of how they rigged theirs up in a Maxima. I've only seen pics of how they look w/ concealed display unit in a BMW but not a Max. Would appreciate some feedback on the unit Thanks

I have one and it's awesome. I have the main unit up very high in the dash to the right side of the rear view mirror. I made a custom mold in the 2nd din stereo location for the remote display. I live in VA and was just pulled over for an expired inspection sticker by Va. State Police and even though he looked in the car, he was unable to see the V1 Most people here either have the V1 or the Escort X50. For the best radar detector message board, go to www.radardetector.net. Also checkout www.jammertests.com for awesome video's showing the V1's abilitly against it's only 2 rivals, the X50 and the Bel RX65. It beats them both.

I have mine high in the blue tint simply because RD's are illegal here in VA. I called Valentine Research and they informed me that the 2k2/2k3 Maxima windshields aren't that restrictive compared to others. I myself have found remarkable detection of every form of radar and lidar with it behind the tint. It also prevents theives from noticing the unit. However, you will increase your detection range if put below the tint line in regards to laser only. I've received stray laser hits from pretty significant distances so I wouldn't worry.
