The term "best" is way to subjective. Theres alot of Great, good, bad amps out there, but within each category would lay within the buyer/owners Opinion.

With that being said, let us know what you have to work with money wise, and Im sure we can quickly fiugre something out.

I've got about $350-450 to spend. I understand the term "best" is very subjective, but I'm looking for anyones opinions. Of course everyone's going to say something different, but what would YOU suggest?

Thank you

Me personally I would say something along the lines of
Arc KAR series 400.4
or
Diamond D3 400.4

Maybe because those are some of my best sellers for the more budget minded individuals. Both of them would come in right around or below the lower side of your budget.

Thanks...

Someone mentioned to me the ppi dcx 1000.4 What are your thoughts about that amp with those speakers? I also don't mind spending 100 or so more for the sound quality.

PPI definately isnt what it used to be. Both of the amps that I listed would suit your needs perfectly, without spending the extra money. There are other options a bit higher level, even within the same manufacturer lines, but really not a dramatic need for them. Just being honest.

Sorry I have 1 last question. Besides the ones that you mentioned. I've also noticed these 4 that im thinking about. Please give me your opinions on these and which one you would pick.

MBQuart RAA4200, MTX 1004, JL 450/4, Alpine Mrvf540, or MRVF545

Thanks

The Quart amps are nice, but physically HUGE. Plus, that is a butt-load of power for comps.

Never been a big fan of the MTX amps, really a personal preference...just little things like having no markings on x-over adjustments and crap like that.

<---JL heard follower, and 450/4 owner. Yes it is overpriced, and yes you can get another amp that will sound great, but I love this amp! I have it on a set of QSD 216 front and PSD 216 rear (PSD was the line right befor the PCEs) I love the adjustments it gives you, twin regulated power supplies, gobs of power, and I think they are some of the cleanest looking amps around right now. Again, personal preference, take it for what it is worth.

The Alpine amps are really nice too. I have used them in the past and have been satisfied. The only knock is that in my experience they are kinda gutless, especially at high volumes. That 545 just doesn't sound like 125x4 to me...but they are very clean amps.

Like I said, newb's opinions, take with as many grains of salt as needed.

IF I Had to pick one of those, then I would have to say the MBQ, only due to the fact that they dropped the amp line and Crutchfield is Hugely discounting them. Drawback...tough time replacing it if it goes bad.

I own a JL Audio 450/4. The thing that sold me on the amp was that I could have 150x2 for my front speakers and 75x2 for my rears.
