If you built the box inside the trunk u could definatly get 7^ft. I posted n the caraudio.com forum going into detail about the dimensions for the trunk. My screen name there is the same as here...96MaxGLE. Check the post on ur thread there to get the details. I'm gonna b attempting 2 15" Avalanches soon, unless I get SX's or XXX's.

If u don't wanna try them...let me know. I didn't want to take up much of my trunk...so i only have a single 12" n there now, 2.5^ft enclosure. I don't like to put anything n the trunk with the enclosure, yellow top, and RF Power20001bd. I'm ready to put n 2 15's, but I need something that can handle more power than the two Avalanches. How much is a new 15" SX? I know the XXX's r $435 shipped. Let me be the 1st to welcome you to the .org...the audio section is GREAT!

The SX 15's are $269 + shipping, with $600 you can get 2 15's and have some left over, im gettinf a brand new orion 2500d for $465 with warranty from some one i know, im planning on breaking the 150db mark.

Oh, and thanks for welcoming me, id bet a max would be better than my 1st car(00 Neon) lol.

NOT A NEON!

That's the thing about the AVAs, Ascendant...I'm going to have to get 2 smaller amps (1 for each sub), that's why I'm thinking about putting something different n my max. I just really haven't decided what I'm gonna do yet...I'm planning on getting some Rainbow Profi Vanadiums from Don soon...CS 365 Kick's up front (maybe with an 8" midbass ), and CS 265's n the rear. The SX'x sound like a really good idea for me. I have also looked at a pair of 15" DD9500's. I've got a lot of planning to do still for my new sub setup...maybe by the time u get ur max i'll b able to help you out with ur design.

hey chinny what u got against DD's? i feel that hey are among the top sub brands and they are fairly inexpensive to get fixed (if u can tear them up). only reason i had to send one of mine in was because i stabbed it with the drill and tore a lot of the surround and the cone.

but a 7 cu. ft. box will fit just fine. ive got a 12.5 cu. ft box in my trunk, so you can make your box bigger than 7 cu. ft. if needed

yeah i used both (mdf and glass) and yes i did build in the trunk. it gets kinda tight to work with after building so big but it pays off. thats cool that u dont really care for DD, i didnt know if it was something personal or a bad experience. im that way about some of the other sub brands too, so i completely understand now.
