2000 Bose sub size

2000 sub Question

I want to change my bose sub thats in my car to this JL audio one now my only quesiton is can this be done without a box??? i mean dont i need one to get the sound i want???? or can i do this without it

looks like the 8W7...

i don't think the W7's are meant to be used free-air. they will need a box. if you're going to drop in an aftermarket sub at the bose location, it got to be free air compatible. also, you will need to amp the sub. the bose amps doesn't really put out much power.

I must agree with the man above ^ I definately would not attemp a W7 free air, and if your changing the subs, it Must be free air and youll need an amp.
