RCA Burned???

Well, long story made short while installing the remote from the radio to the amp it accidentally touched the power wire. The antenna out of the radio had a fuse which did not break. now none of the speaker cables have power or that same blue cable...which did not bother me because I was using the RCA's. I connected the amp and got static and distorcioned sound. I took it to an audio place and they tested another amp and another set of speakers and it still sound bad. I told the guy about the incident and he said that maybe the RCA's output could have been burned. now I'm wondering is this possible??? Getting a new in dash DVD player will be another $250

...why are u using live wire when ure still hooking stuff up?

do a simple test with your dvd player - use a good rca cable and hook it up to a portable tv, or anything that takes rca input. if thats no good, then yea, u fried your player - exchange it under warranty
