Speaker Replacement Hell (I NEED HELP)

I have a 1995 max with the BOSE system. I am trying to replace the speakers and im having a hell of a time. I looked at this and got the wire colors. http://www.mattblehm.com/faq/wiring_...%201995-97.gif

I got the speakers hooked up in the rear but got no sound. In the front i dont have those wire colors. But i took a guess and used a blue wire an a yellow wire. No sound. What am i doing wrong.

Please help ASAP.

I appreciate your help but i guess i havent outlined my problem to the fullest.

I replaced the HU last summer and it works fine. I used one of those PAC adapters that i bought from someone on here.

I decided i was going to replace the speakers now. I started in the back and took out the speakers. I cut off the plug and used the red and green wires on the drivers side and blue and pink wires on the passenger side. I hooked up my new speakers and turned on the stereo and got no sound.

I tried the driver door speaker and got the same results. However for the front i was told to use a BLUE/WHT and BLUE/YEL wire. I didnt have these so used a ble wire and a yellow wire.

The only sounds i got now are from the passenger door but i havent touched it yet.

Thanks a lot

Well, since the BOSE speakers were individually amplified, I guess an adapter for an Aftermarket HU -> BOSE speakers would turn the amplified signal into a flat signal for the BOSE speakers. But now that you are running aftermarket speakers that are NOT individually amplified, you will need to use your HU's power to power the aftermarket speakers and get rid of the adapter... I believe that the adapter might be your problem. Perhaps somebody on here could confirm that.

you can keep the adapter if you want...im not speaker wire colors right now, but i do know that you can simply bypass the amp by cutting the two wires to it, and use the other two for your speakers...i think in the front they are green and purple, and i think that they were the same in the back, but opposite polarity...makes it easy for a reinstall later...
