battery drain???

I have the 00 se and i put two amps in it. A 1000d for the subs and the 800 for the highs. My lights dim like crazy when the subs go. Has anyone done anything to helpwith this. I have heard that you can run a new thicker wire from the + on the batt to the lead on the alternator??? will that work?? Also i have a redtop and wanted to know if anyone has the yellowtop and what a differnce it has made??

Try doing the Big 3 uprgrade . That should help situation somewhat. You could also go to an autozone or sears and get an alternator/battery check to see if your alternator is working correctly. If it is it's time to look for someone that can custom build you and HO alt; expect to pay a couple hundred dollars. Swaping batteries won't do much if anything to help with your dimming situation.

you should be running 0/1 gauge as a main power wire...doesnt your 1000d take 4gauge on its own?

look into the big 3 as stated above....
