Headunit with AUX in and SAT in
hey i have a new sony headunit, and i got an XM install kit, and i wanted to be able to use My mp3 player with the Aux in, but i found out that the xm uses the AUX input so with my new headunit i cannot do what i want. does anyone know any headunits that allow to use both? does sirus use RCA inputs to plug into the head unit?
Pioneer, although they both would have to be through IP-BUS cable, which you would have to convert to RCA then microjack for the mp3 player. The CD-RB10 and CD-RB20 are the IP-BUS to aux-in adapters for Pioneer, and it depends on your Pioneer sat radio tuner box for what youll need. The ipod integration box from pioneer gives you the ipod plug, plus another IP-BUS input, and so does the Sirius tuner box for Pioneer. But the orange/black Terk Pioneer XM tuner boxes (which is what I assume you have for Sony) wont give you an additional input as you already know.
Don might chime in for Eclipse units, and although I have an Eclipse deck in my car, I dont stay very current with their stuff. Working at circuit city does that to ya.
