Properly powered 8 inch subs

I'm re-doing my whole system and doing a little trunk work and space is a big issue. I was wondering if I put 2 8 inch subwoofers that are powered to there 200 watts rms will it produce good bass (i like loud over sound quality) or should I not expect a lot from them? Oh yeah i know you guys are gonna want to kill me for this but the subwoofers are the audiobahn with the "special edition" grill and the amp will be an 820 watt spl amp... thats what I can afford with all the other stuff so thats what I have to go with. any help would be much appreciated.

If you are looking for a good 8" sub I would recommend the Adire Audio Extremis 6.8. You can get some great performance out of them if you build a properly sized box and don't require gobs of power in order to perform.

Do 2 8" L7's sealed, SQ will be good and get amazingly loud.

He could also run them separatley with two Arc Audio 1500XXKs.

How about suggesting something a bit more tangible?

Two 8 inch L7s sealed would need about 1-1.25 cube in total after displacement, etc. If your going for loud you'll be happy along with the SQ. The amp you have will work fine. Thats only my suggestion though. You could also do a single 10 and prolly use the same space and have the same results.

Each L7 8 would only need .33cf to operate. .66-.88cf for both 8's. Just FYI. With the 10's you can get away with .66cf per.

There are other companys that make quality/budget 8" subs. I have never been an Audiobahn fan. IMHO, you could spend $10 more per sub and get something better. Another option is a single 10". Although you will be sacrificing cone surface area and most likely volume, you can use a much smaller enclosure. Just something to think about.

Only thing is the extremis 6.8 is not an 8".. It will however in the correct ported box performt he same as a 10" and keep hi sound quality. One thing to rember also is that it is 8ohm but should work fine off of 50 watts rms and keep very good SQ.I do not however think it will be "loud" enough for you

Another fantastic adire product to look at however is the koda 8" will go pretty darn low and have a decent volume doing it.

To be honest you should go with a single 12" instead (box woudl be aroudn the sme size) and thenyou owudl get soe more spl out of it since the 8s you will more then likely hate if you care more about loud.

ever look into the 8" sound splinter RL-i? If you buy two it's $138 each. i would take sound splinter over audiobahn ANY day.

I'm sorry I forgot to add that I have very limited funds right now and those 2 subs that I had planned on buying are only about $85 for the pair and the amp was only $50. na d I don't really want them extremely liud I just want o be able to feel the bass. and as far as getting 1 sub instead...I just like the look of the 2 subs because of the plans I have for my trunk...

I'm sorry maybe I need to be more specific. I want them loud enough to fel the bass but I don't need everyone to know I have a system fromjust pulling up next to them at a stoplight or have them able to hear it from inside ahouse
