And before anyone says it... yes that's underpowered. I'm getting the new MC1100D here in a month or so. 1100 watts @ 1ohm... the subs are already wired up for it.
Ok... so who wants to make the first one...

J/k. I think you would do very well. As stated before, it depends on the mic and competition perameters.

I think it was that box that did it.
kcidmil, sorry my bad, typo. And I doubt it was a new TL, come on, theyre Punch Zs, lol. Sorry, ill never have a good opinion of them thanks to the one kid i knew with two of the tens that sounded like ****. I wish I had a truck or SUV to play with as an SPL car....(hint filtor1

I will let you know, and we can start the build. That project may have to wait till I get done with school.

jigg, i easily can believe you hit low 140s, in fact i think you can hit even higher if you fiddle around with the environment.
146 on two 12" SEALED punch z's? gotta call BS on that one. maybe 20db off lol
i've never had my stuff metered but i've been in multiple 140db cars and i'm pretty confident my two ten inch buggers can break 140 (at least with windows cracked) but maybe not on a new TL, probably something like an AC...

Where can you go to find out what your putting out? I have 2 15" kicker comps in a single ported box, and my amp pretty much sucks (it's the same amp I was using to push my 2 10" RF P1s) but I am going to get another amp and I don't know where to go to see how many db I'm pushing ........
Jinni, look in the paper for local comps. You can also try calling around to area shops and see if they have a meter. Some shops are very cool about it, others, well, suck. I would love to see what they would do! Let us know if you get it metered.

There was a Navi there that needed a lot of help though. 6 12"s with 2 1000 watt amps. He only hit 147.8... that was freaking hilarious. His roof was flexing, and he had guys holding his back hatch closed. He even tried flooring it at the end to keep the amps charged.
And like it was stated before, that was not on the new TL mics.

Bandpass isn't usually associated with sq at all but in my case it is. I've had the same sub in a large custom sealed box on the same amp and it sounds ALOT better in the bandpass.
The box isn't your average bandpass. It has fiberglass on the inside to help smooth out the air flowing through the port (it's not in the corners, it's a v-shape piece that's directly in front of the sub). It's also tuned pretty low (35 hz). For some reason it just plays everything very accurate.

I've heard ALOT of system's out there and I haven't heard cleaner bass than mine. I've heard louder but not cleaner and ALOT of people think the same thing. My best friend is the shop manager/installer at the largest/best audio shop in the state. I know my ****.
Now that I think of it, the only bass that I've heard that's a little cleaner is my friends two 10 in. jl w6 v2's in a sealed box powered by a us amps tu-600 class-a tube amp (300x2)

The audio shop I go to sponsors 2 vehicles ( a old school Integra, and a Yota tacoma ), both which have easily metered at 155db+, not on the new TL but am willing to see what they would do on that. I've never tested my 2 10's but believe they could easily be close if not break 140db with no problems.
