Hey guys, I'm still having horrible alternator whine...
yea someday................
anyways, answer my bloody question
.
nah, I'm kidding around.
So I was rereading, and I thought to myself, instead of going out today and buy more 4ga wire and a distribution block, I'm going to attempt to stretch the ground wire as nicely as possible to the floor of the trunk (not the spare wheel well), drill a hole, grind away whatever paint, and attach a bolt into the new hole and slip my ground wires between the bolt and trunk floor. Does this sound like a good attempt of grounding? I plan on using the floor portion that is near the passenger side wheel well for the rear tire, put my hole around there and bolt around there, what do you guys think of that idea? Would it be just as good as attaching the ground to a part of the spare tire wheel well? Also, is there anything under that area I should be aware of before drilling into it? I mean, yea I'll check before I drill, but knowing what to look for is always good, if theres anything to look for at all... :-D

dj - i wasnt dissing your personal install, there would be no reason for me to. i was just saying i shouldnt have said that, having seen some things in the past lol.
snair - stock bose? If so the turn on wire should be right at the rear deck Bose amp (5th gen). Im not sure if factory non-bose has a remote turn on outpuit.

but its necessary to defend especially when such a TERRIBLE insult is even SUGGESTED...much less actually accused.
and regarding all this alternator whine nonsense - remove the alt, problem solved
Yea, I'm not to sure on the stock bose setup, my factory hu is non-bose. Anyways, I'm going to head out to some shops and pick some stuff up. What kind of bolts, nuts, or screws should I look to get inorder to ground my ground cables to the trunk floor properly? I'm also going to get some new tools, my sockets and socket wrenches are all broken and missing parts... I'm so damn excited to get the new tools now!!!
