Installing Subs in Non Bose

I want to install 2 subs in my non-bose 2k3 but I want to mount a sub where the stock sub Would have been. I would prolly need an amp and I would like to wire this into my stock 2k3 system. Would this be a difficult install, what size sub would i need...ANY and ALL suggestions are appreciated besides buying a new deck becuase i dont want to ruin the stock look. I also thought about getting a bass link, would that be a better/cheaper/easier alternative. Thanks guys

ok well, if you want to add two subs just use the pac adaptor, that gives you a 4 ch output.....that is then hooked on an amp and you go from there....as for the size. technically the hole in the rear deck is an 8in. but you wont be able to find a nice sub to place there that uses free air box....it would be better just to use that as a port of some kind. the install for the PAC adaptor, a 4ch amp and mono block amp and two subs is NOT hard for the average electric person....i did mine myself, first system, that it sounds great. I also installed speakers in all doors too......but you will loose a little trunk space...if you want to keep low weight and use the bass link....all you'll need to do it just add the PAC adaptor, 4ch wire and the bass link. BUT you wont get the loud BUMP, like most can with real subs, amps, and box....

EDIT: take the PAC adaptor part out, just use a line adaptor that you could get at any audio install place and splice in your bose headunit. the wiring for coloring should be the following.

hope that helps.
