Another new Audio setup: Need advice

Ehh, my previous thread will not work anymore.
I am NOT getting a screen anymore. So that leaves me more money to get better speakers and amp.
I want speakers that will put out good bass because I do not plan to get subs(Ineed the trunkspace).

Of your choices, I'd get the CD tech as far as front speakers. I'm not a fan of rear speakers. I'd save the money and dampen my doors well, especially if you're not running subs and will want low end from your comps....

Haven't tried any of those amps so no personal experience. If it were me on that budget I'd be looking for a good used 2 channel amp. I used to like the Crossfire CFA sereis which were inexpensive to begin with and reliable. I see them going for like nothing on ebay today. Maybe Clarion amps as far as new amps?

CDT's for the front and rear. I would choose a lower level Eclipse HU over either you listed. Run from any of your amp choices.

What kind of budget total are you looking at? You could put a single 8" in the rear deck instead of using up trunk space and still get good response. I think this would give you better bass response than using your door speakers to reproduce those signals.

95-99 use 6.75/6.5's in the rear. No rear door sepakers and sub like 5th gens.

Where do I get Eclipse HU's from?

Memphis M-Class. Trust me on this one. I sat in front of the display for hours trying to decide. Even in the display room the bass out those things were awesome. The clarions didn't seem to have any at all on the display.

So it's obvious, if you're getting good bass out of speakers on a display board... imagine in a car.

Are you talking about the drawer style like in my signature pic? Not very big. The left slot barely holds a pop can.

A lot of people go with the insert out of a Ford Tarsus.

As far as amps go. The crunchs are all right. Probably your best bet out of all 3.

The Boss doesn't even list it's specs... and the Power Acoustik pales when compared to the Crunch.

These run cheaper than the other Multi sync components. Plus... Memphis doesn't honor online sales. So while he might carry a full line... they're not going to do any warranty work.

Like that would ever happen. I've haven't run into any problems with them. But still... NOTHING is immune to breaking.

sorry forgot the link

Sounds good. I'd go with the crunch amp. That's about your best choice out of those.

(btw... if you go to your local dealer, they're usually willing to give you good prices on Memphis speakers. I can get that set for around the same, if not less than what the guy wants on Ebay.)

Kicker or Kenwood would be enough to power those speakers.... Crunch would be overboard just a little. But that might be better. Seeing as how you'll have the gain lower.

I can't remember for sure on the price of the Convertible multisyncs... so you'll have to check on that. The CDT might fit better into your price range.

For H/U.... the Pioneer looks cooler...

So for for a final list, I would say this.

H/U- Pioneer
Front- CDT (price)
Rear- Memphis
Amp- Crunch

And when you save up... you can get the nice $250 Multi Sync Component set from Memphis. Those things are out of this world.

Better check to make sure there's other dealers in your area
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/dealerlocator.asp

and seeing how's there are 3 pages for FL... I think you'll do just fine.

VS.
http://www.thezeb.com/p-Crunch-BMX80...ier-108561.htm

As far as sound quality. Since these two are bigger I assume I can turn the gain down and not have a big load on the alternator.

I did some research and the Crunch amps suck. They put them on the level with Pyle and stuff.

http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2849
I think I will do the price match from SoundDomain and get it from them.

I still dont know which HU I want. Which one will look better with the factory woodgrain?

I just installed the a Thunder564 in my Max las week. I bought it from Crutchfield for $199 minus my $20 dollar referral credit. I am pretty happy with it, especially for the price along with the full warranty.

Either amp will run those speakers. Tough choice. I'd go with the MTX though. Even though the Kenwood has a longer warranty.

That was my next question(How are PG amps), the reviews make Pheonix Gold amps seem really good.

For the front, I am making my own component system? You have this setup?

As for the front, i loved the midrange, midbass is good, high are a bit on the bright side.

As for the rear, i have never heard them but people are really happy with them for the money.

Remember this is on a budget, you are not going to get the best, you just want value for your money
