best way to connect mp3 player to bose unit

what is the best way to connect a mp3 to my Original Bose unit? Is there any inputs in the back on the Bose unit i can use? If not how can the get the cleanest sound input into it?

I tried the FM transmitter but it very flaky and the wire/tape method is not very clear.

so it's not very good with fm crap ha!!! how ever if you have an amp i think you can get an rca wire with an adapter to hook up to your player you have the ipod right! it should work and use your imagination as far as using your mp3 player and bose in the same time depending on how you wire it ,,, that's what i'm gonna try with my ipod if the fm crap doesn't work so good luck

Can we control the Aux player by using the steering wheel buttons?

Check out the link. Its simply an aux input for the system. Two RCA connectors. their is no output, and therefore no way for anything to be controled by the steering wheel control, or even by the HU itself.
