hey, i got a new headunit in my 03 max, to replace the stock bose Hu, and i know that i can get the pac adapter to use the volume controls with my new Hu and whatnot, but what about the trip computer in the dash that tells outside temp and MPG and everything is there anyway to make those work again? i heard theres a way to ground some wire, but i need specifics

 

The small wiring harness that doesn't get used or plugged back in behind the radio, there is a wire, I think it's brown/white, that you need to ground in order to get the trip functions working. It's in the FAQ at the top of this forum.

yes it is. what I did was splice into it instead of cutting. Just in case i want to put it back to stock.

what kind of audio equipment did you end up putting into your 03? i'm thinking about replacing the entire sound system in mine and looking for ideas of what to put in.

 

all i did was get a new headunit, an expensive sony, which i am very happy with, kept the stock speakers and they sound great, and i got a cheap sub pack from pepboys till i get my alpines
