Just came back from Atlantic City, and noticed that my Rear right (Passenger side) Bose speaker does not work anymore, but the left rear speaker works. Has anyone come across this problem, and how should i go about troubleshooting this? I'm thinking maybe one of the Amp's for the speaker may have blown? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Regards,

GC

First, check your fader/balance setting
Next, you may want to check your connections.. I noticed that you have an amp/sub setup. If you're running off the stock head unit, then you had to have tapped into the speaker outs.. So I'd check that first... to see if that interfered with the rears.

If nothing, then you can test the head unit by replacing that one speaker.

Let us know what the result is.. and we'll go from there

check if your speaker tore, if not then your amp maybe be bad, you would need to replace them somehow.

A response from Bose.

I need to get a replacement for the same speaker.

Hello Marc,

Thank you for your inquiry. I am sorry to hear that you are having
problems with the Bose Music System in your 1998 Nissan Maxima. The
speakers and amplifiers are manufactured by Bose Corporation and the
radio/cassette/cd portion of the system is manufactured by Clarion
Corporation in Gardena, CA.

When the system is serviced through a Nissan dealership, they will
remove the radio and send it to Clarion Corporation for repair or they
will exchange the speakers for remanufactured units through Clarion
Corporation. Please visit your local Nissan dealership or contact
Clarion Corporation at (800) 347-8667 for information regarding a
direct exchange.

Please be aware of the differences between visiting the dealership and
sending your unit direct through Clarion Corporation.

1.) Clarion services dealerships first (so it is typically a little
faster through the dealership).

2.) The warranty through the dealership is 12 months.

3.) The warranty direct through Clarion Corporation is 90 days.

4.) The exchange price for a remanufactured speaker through the
dealership is $125 plus a labor fee.

5.) The exchange price for a remanufactured speaker through Clarion
Corporation is $120.

Thank you for choosing Bose Corporation.

You can also buy replacement Bose type amplifiers from Stinger car audio accessory dealers. They are made by Peripheral Electronics. www.peripheral-aamp.com
