viper 791xv in a 97 se question...

Well im taking it to a local shop they said its 200$ + 40 $ for the relays for the car. What is that all about ? I think hes full of ****. Does anyone know if this is true?

Is that 200 just for the installation. Im not sure about that alarm, but you may need relays for trunk pop, horn honk, etc.

Most places will charge around there if you didnt buy the alarm from them. Viper requires authorized installation, so its fully up to them, they have the right to say no to your install completely. However, $40 for relays is extreme.

I know the guy pretty well but i dont know why he needs relays when the viper comes with the satelite relay hardware. Maybe he needs it to open the trunk i dunno. But 40$ for relays is expensive if you ask me.

Thats about the typical installation charge for one that wasnt bought from them. In the end you end up spedning $200-$250ish + whatever you paid for the alarm= end result..no warranty.

BTW...the relay (only one needed) is for the trunk release.

Very tru, alot of of places put a second starter kill to. For a total of 3 relays + labor 40 isn;t bad.

i gotta VIPER 791 and i didnt have to buy another relay..and the remote start work and trunk pops..and fixing to have some door poppers programmed wit it!!
