I just installed my new headunit, kenwood excelon 889. Since my old alpine 9815 got jacked. Anyway, when ever the unit is one my antenna comes up not matter if I'm using a cd or not. Maxima 97 se with bose system. What could be the problem? Thank you.

I know that the antenna adapter that I used was universal with a y connector at the end, in which only one was inserted into the headunit???

 

Your antenna is hooked up to remote turn on output. Not a big deal. Does the deck have 2 separate outputs, one for power antenna and one for remote turn on? (Power antenna is blue and remote is blue/white)
