Laptop Video Output to Avic-N1 Vid Input
I bought a vga to rca/s-video adapter for my laptop to plug into my headunit....i connected it all up and the picture on the avic screen looks bad...cant see anything...i can see a little bit of the mouse moving and my desktop, but its unclear...is there something else i can try?
is there somethign better than a vga to rca that i dont know about? or is this idea just old, and impossible? thanks....

Was the reason the visibilty unclear because of resolution issues? For example, is the resolution turned up too high, or the color bit thing is also set too high?
Also, for whatever reason, if you want to use your s-video as a real s-video, I wouldn't know why, but you can get a $99 dvd recorder from Circuit City, plug in the laptop to the dvd recorders s-video input, then use the RCA outputs. I guess you can hide the dvd player under the passenger seat. Just an idea if you want to use "true" s-video, it's what I did for my laptop to use on an older television which didn't have s-video input.
