The Type R's r getting alot of hype, but only n certain enclosures. I do have to say they're much more impressive than the '04 models. I think the RE SE's r around that price. IMO anything would b more "accurate" than a L5. I'm sure Ascendant is sold out of the Atlas's, but that would b something to look n2.

for 20 bucks more you can get the SS RL-p. they're $220 for the 12" version. like mentioned above, look into ascendant audio as well.

they're online sales only.

if you have any concerns, feel free to email them. they're pretty good with replying customer emails in a fast and timely manner.

Single brand pushers...

LOL... check Memphis M-Class. Combined with their amps, they're a great combo. Even with 4 12"s in a vented box I had great SQ.

btw. they can only be bought through local dealers if you want a warranty.

I've heard the type r's... I wasn't impressed. For that price range, some eclipse 12" titaniums would thump.

eclipse aluminum would be my vote.

I have a new 15" eclipse aluminum for sale, $200. (I'm not suggesting this sub just because I'm trying to sell it, any aluminum would sound awsome)

Since we are all agreeing on subs built by TC Sounds, why not go for the sub with the lowest measured distortion? The TC2+ is below $200 in most sizes (15" is $209). It is available at Soundsplinter (RL-i series), O Audio, Rythmik Audio or directly from TC Sounds (minimum order 50 drivers).
