if you put in a decent screen, this would cheaper than a laptop for the performance you would get. This is designed pretty rugged as well. Small HDD may be a problem, but it may be upgradeable. Power requirements may be very low if an inverter is not used. I guess question remains on how much this thing can be hacked....

it could probably be hacked the hell out of...expandable harddrive is the key word..followed by external dvd if needed.

you boys need to look into mini-itx and nano-itx solutions. i personally use a mini-itx board.. check me out : http://www.maximapc.com
