if you put in a decent screen, this would cheaper than a laptop for the performance you would get. This is designed pretty rugged as well. Small HDD may be a problem, but it may be upgradeable. Power requirements may be very low if an inverter is not used. I guess question remains on how much this thing can be hacked....

you boys need to look into mini-itx and nano-itx solutions. i personally use a mini-itx board.. check me out : http://www.maximapc.com
