Internet shopping...

For those of you that absolutely Love shopping on the net for products. Especially unauthorized and the company gives the "in house" warranty for $xx...

TheZeb.com is gone, vanished and with Alot of peoples money. Anyone that purchased their "warranties" well how do you get that if your product breaks now? Or the famous "Theyve been around for awhile, so its OK to shop their" OR "They have a ton of positive feedback on Ebay, so its OK"

Check:
www.TheZeb.com doesnt exist anymore.
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...&userid=thezeb Over 50 negatives in the past week alone, as Im sure alot more to come...

Just food for thought when purchasing online.

Its been posted up on CAF for awhile now, I was just monitoring it for a bit. Apparently BBB had a ton of calls about them too. As well as the manufacturers they were actually authorized for removed them from their sites.

CDT apparently still thinks they're around.... http://www.cdtaudio.com/authdealers.htm

I never liked their website anyways, seemed really hokey.

This all took place within the last week or so, Im sure CDT will remove them soon. Although some companies take forever to remove or even add someone.

Kicker removed them immediately.

Yep...If your on a budget and are going active, Parts express is your friend! You could build a full Dayton reference system for only 300 bucks worth of speakers and prolly compete w/ the best of em! AC ribbons, spanspeak, Morel, Vifa, Peerless.....They just need to pick up Seas!

Parts express is da bomb!

Strange, I purchased a pioneer cdrgb26p from them a couple weeks ago and it came in like 2 days. When I shop online I use a credit card and try to go to someone reputable, at least you may try and do a chargeback in case of fraud. Also Mastercard and Visa have verified sites for merchants who take their cards who are legit.

It's still worth the risk. The only people who bash on ebay and other online companies are brick and mortar dealers. I've gotten all my stuff online and never had a problem. It sucks for some people when technology displaces the old way of doing things but that is the price you pay for progress.

i agree to disagree with ^^^. unless online places offer full authorized warranties for cheaper than local shops, i would not purchase anything car audio via online. I have learned from experience.

Internet shopping can be a risk. You just have to do your homework and check around. I can understand people having hesitations because of bad experiences. Personally I've been lucky with my online purchases and I think that has a lot to do with me checking into things before purchasing. I haven't had to return anything for warranty work so I've been fortunate. In this day and age its definitely buyer beware.

They are legit, authorized, and reliable, as well as http://www.solen.ca/ . Both of these, and parts express, are great places for high end raw drivers. More home audio oriented, but good speakers are good speakers.

You keep taking that risk. Id rather gamble in Vegas, at least I got a chance of coming out ahead.

My first system or two I purchased everything online or second hand. Granted I didn't have the most money to spend on the stereo. It was decent stuff, just deal hunting.

After purchasing from an authorized retailer I can honestly say it is the only way to go. Yes, you pay more initially, however dealers treat you right and take care of you. It is really worth the peace of mind.

he heard something shaking around, he opened it up and found a circuit board which was about half the size of the actual amp. it had a blue neon light that said power acoustics
