Audio wiring advice

Hey. I am currently deadening my car and slowly getting started on running wires for my audio set up. As I have gone along, I have started to question my original (apparently poor) plans. I'm just going to say a few things and my thoughts and hopefully you can fill me with wisdom!

I have two amps (Diamond Audio D7104 4-Channel and a D3600.1) that I am running power to. I was planning on running 2 gauge to a distribution block and then 4 guage to both amps. I have D661s for the front and D661i for the rear. Will this be adequate or do I need to go to a 1/0, 2 gauge setup? I am also planning to do the Big 3 upgrade to 1/0 wire. From the D7104 to the speakers, I am running 11 gauge Rockford Fosgate Type RF wire. Where is the best place to put the crossovers? I'd assume right next to the amp would result in optimum position for tuning, but placing them closer to the components would result in less wire to run. Also,I was planning on running 8 gauge from the D3600.1 to the sub - will that be enough or should I go to 4 gauge?

A few other questions:

What is the best place to get the power through the firewall? I would like to stay away from drilling a hole, but if I need to I suppose I will. I believe there is an opening along the side of the car near the front door joint where it is possible to weave it through, but I am not certain.

Battery: I see that there are two cables running to the positive battery terminal. Where do each of these run and how should I go about connecting those (assuming I do the Big 3) AND the amp power? Can I do this with a terminal that only has a 2-ring input or do I need to find another?

And on a lighter note (at least for me), I will hopefully have pics of my deadening/audio progress up by this weekend! At that point, I'll edit the thread title and add them on here.

You can run the wire through the front driver-side wheel well...it's a pretty straight shot from there. I would recommend running the amps with a 2 & 1/0 wire setup, since it's not going to hurt to run bigger wire. You can run the Big 3 with a two-ring input so long as you also keep in mind that you need to have a post open for OEM wire. I have not gotten around to doing my big 3 yet, namley because there isn't a good place to ground the one wire to the engine block...well, I found one decent spot, but the effing bolt broke (thanks for the cheap-a'ss steel, Nissan!), and I need to find a better one. Hope this helps.

How much wire will I need total? Also, where should I place the sub amp? The speaker amp is freaking HUGE. It won't fit on the back of hte passthrough, and has about 1" of clearance running front to back next to the spare tire.

Here is a drawing of my Nissan Maxima: MS Paint for reference. Completely custom... Awesome, isn't it? Please critique my plans!

I am wondering the same thing, I need to wire my amp to the battery. I cant seem to find an existing hole in the firewall to run the wire through on my 5th gen.

5th gen - pop the driver side tire off, remove the wheel well, you can see right were it needs to run...
