need some help with this guys (steering wheel controls)

what up fellas; um i have a question here. SO i bought a 5th gen and i need to install a double din headunit into the car (im assuming this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCOSC...spagenameZWD1V , is the one that matches the ashtray/shifter trim/old radio color) so when im gonana install the double din what would i have to do to still be able to control my headunit with my steering wheel controls? also could you verify if the dash kit ABOVE^^^ is the corect one and would fit a double din unit? for some reason it looks like only 1 din because there is some kind of thin piece of plastic above the bottom tram that seems to block out the double din feature. Thx in advance.

I'm going to install one headunit and get my cousin to mold the dash for it, I'd hate to lose my steering wheel audio controls so this what I plan on adding to my order from Crutchfield

on that kit...the pocket should be removeable to make it double din...if not, just cut nicely! and DesiGLE is right on the steering wheel control interface...one thing to look into, some NEW head units have more specific steering wheel control interfaces that plug directly into your head unit, instead of using the IR eye like the PACSWIX does...i have a 2005 Alpine, and they make the PACSWIALP for that that plugs directly in...its more reliable and faster, not to mention easier to program
