Eclipse 7001(Older Model)
I just picked this up from a sale for 160 with the 8 Disk changer and brain. It was a open box and is missing the manual. I did a search and didnt find much, just was wondering if anyone had any experience with it and did I get screwed?

http://www.eclipse-web.com/ I couldn't find anything on the website, you maybe able to get a manual if you contact them direct. I used to have the 7002 which is almost the same thing. The wires should be pretty basic on the power side. There is a blue remote wire and a seperate blue and white stripped antenna wire, hook those up accordingly. Good luck on figuring out the parking brake wire ( I think it maybe green). You can probably figure out the speaker wires unless you are running all amps. Now that i think about it, there should be a diagram for the wires on the brain box somewhere.

No, you should be good, its pretty straight forward. $160? I might need to get back on eBay after one!! I paid $700 for a 7002 for the unit only back in 2001. I liked it but was messmerised by fully automatic indash, not the semi auto. It's a pretty nice unit, not real fancy but it does the job, a/v indash is a plus, also a volume ***.
