relay for remotes???

i was wondering if you guys use a relay for multiple amps on the remote turn-on lead? i've just been splicing them all together for about 10yrs now and never thought i had a problem, but now that i think about it, one time i fried the remote on a deck once.

anyway, i'm installing two amps and an eq now and was looking for a recommended relay for the remotes. i've never added a relay for any purpose. is there one i can pick up at radio shack?

I typically use one when Im doing more than 2 amps. Better safe than sorry and it wont hurt anything.

Any standard SPDT relay will work fine. Yes Im pretty sure the Shack has em.
