kick panels for 97
Ok, im wanting to get kick panels made for my 1997 maxima... if anyone has any for sale or is wanting to make them for me around ny/nj please tell me pricing thanks..
These would need a lil more work to get perfect, and I'm sure you're not looking to put ribbons in your kicks, but I do have these buggers laying around
I'd definately recommend having them cut off a lil of the metal to expose the huge cavity behind your kicks. It allows them to be much smaller.

You bet I did. Wait for the new kicks to be made. 7 plus inchers w/ big magnets and the kicks will need to be built out smaller than the ones pictured

There's LOTS of room back there once you trim that metal outta there....
Here's the new speakers that I'm gonna try to get in those kicks. Big Azz efficient midranges
Can you say....99 db per watt efficiency
HELLO
Will be a tight fit to get those magnets in the holes, but I'm gonna give it my all
nah nah nah....the XLS 8's are in the doors for midbass duties....These are the Audax PR17OMO's. Loud efficient midrange..not made anymore if what I hear/see is correct. Close clones of the PHL 1120's. Should be a nice mate with horns......LOUD N CLEAN
Not much excursion for midbass (which I won't need cause they're dedicated midranges to play to 200 or 150 hz) traded in for serious efficiency
Somehow I still have't had to pay for the Audax's either
yummy can't wait to get em in there....
So to the original poster, see the possibilities...cut that metal and sink some speakers in there. Typical 6's can go way in there. Or lemme know if you wanna buy those old kicks. Ribbons with them can be arranged
Edit: Looks like Zalytron still carries them
100db per watt efficiency. Listed as 6.5, but my roler says 7.5 inches outside diameter....magnets... just under 5 inches diameter.....
Anyone remember that azzhole that came on here bragging about how loud his system was? Well I guess that struck a chord with me.

i can knock you out a set next weekend if youd like.
Stevie I had NO IDEA that the dang ribbon you were using was that damn big :WOW:
ill have my driver side completed in the next couple days. it will require the removal of the four tak welds on the dead pedal but who needs that anyway

i use the stock kickpanels and trim them for a little extra room. forces me to come forward a little bit more but not too bad. My wife is a shrimp so its fine for us. Let me know.
thanks. I really like to be able to put it back to stock if i get rid of a car. I usually use existing panels and build from there. Kind of a cheat but it makes my life simpler
. if you note their made with the factory panel to ensure they click back in place easily enough. All of the "depth" is in the woofer portion since my components have a really wide/less deep magnet (In comparo to the eclipses they were made to house), and really mounts "under" the dash but allows full line of sound/sight if you will with the woofer. I feel it was awesome placement on the passenger. the drivers side I did have to remove the dead pedal to not interfere with the clutch.
tweeter selection is still in the air hence the blank spot for the tweeter on the forward flat panel, thats why its oblong... follows in a vein that worked really well in my stratus after four sets i settled on those and was very satisfied so its kinda my template..

I was looking at a set of the usher tweeters, but truthfully figured they were about 2-3 inches and nowhere near that deep...that would definitely provide more problems with my kick design.
how large are the ribbons you used and I noted you were going to horns instead..I ran a set of usds back in the days with the 8 inch mid and was impressed so i can understand why, but is the ribbon that much cleaner than your standard 3/4 or 1inch?
